so...how ya'll doin...i have to say i'm doing awesome--was reading the latest title from one of my all time favorite authors "Tribes" by Seth Godin. And i have to tell you, when you wake up at 5:30am on a Sunday morning, there's only a few things that can make you grateful that you did. What i read this morning, 30 minutes after fumbling for my glasses and knocking over my water, was one of them.

and this is what got my ass out of bed to blog, talk, ramble, journal, express myself and get all the crap that's been bouncing around in my head for the past few months OUT. {did you know that if you don't get "IT" out somehow/someway that it just makes you crazier and crazier by the day? whatever your "IT" is and however it works best for you to get it "OUT", it doesn't matter...just do it and you'll feel 100x better immediately...but that's for another soapbox on another Sunday morning}

well--i'll get to the point here. i want Cr8tv to be a tribe. a tribe that just happens to be filled with women who express themselves {get "IT" out} by making cr8tv things with their hands. creating a way for their loved ones to remember why and how amazing they are. and even outside of crafts we can be a place of Inspiration Everyday.

a place where you can come and be real. everyday real. just you...
a place where you are accepted regardless of your 'level of accomplishment'...
a place where you are encouraged to do what only you know you can...
a place where women value each other for all the things it seems no one else sees...
a place to build each other up, make lasting friendships and share cool stuff! :)

i remember when...

feeling a bit nostalgic today.  i've been wanting to make this slideshow and add this song for a while now--although the photos i included were only from one event, that was only due to lack of access to older pics--had to use what i had on this hard-drive--the meaning of it encompasses all of the friendships formed during my time with irw. i think i have just been needing to do this as a tool for my own healing process...

i'm trying the controversial...

i know this is pretty daring, but i'm seriously dying to know what ya'll think of this: 

here's my .02cents...first thing is that it makes me sick and i want to go off all "animal-activist" style.  but-on the other hand, how did i really THINK the turkeys made it to our table for such a great holiday?  was i thinking they all just walked on up to the butterball alter willingly?  not to mention that i'm not a vegetarian, so i have to realize that the chicken, beef and pork i savor daily all went thru something similar.  ok...onto the video...


so seriously--i know we're all busy, but please post your opinions and forward to someone who you know has a strong opinion either way--anonymous posting is totally fine btw...i want to read what others think, but don't want to start back and forth 'firestorms' ya know?
